Ok so here is a very unexpected little fic that begged like a week old puppy to be written - and who am I to argue? Anyway I love to know what you think and my usual thanks go to Iyimgrace for giving this the once over. I think I ought to mention that although I don't 'ship anyone as such, this is a House/Cuddy one-shot. Make of it what you will!

So, 'Variant Two' is officially on hiatus... it all went a bit 'Pete Tong' as we say over here and it needs much, much more attention than I can give it at the moment. I will return to it - I can't stand the thought of an unfinished fic hanging around like a bad smell - but probably not very soon. I think I'm going to try my hand at a shortie to flex my writing muscles again and restore  bit of confidence in myself. Ho hum! Sorry if you were reading it (but I think only about two people were anyway!) and thanks for the comments I've had, I appreciate them more than you know.
